Description:
Go Fest is a two-day sport, dance, health and fitness festival, seeking to encourage and inspire activity and a healthy approach to living from the moment a toddler can walk and right through their adult life. "It is hoped the festival will tackle issues of weight gain and inactivity in the UK and, simultaneously, bring families together for some quality time."
It was be held in Manchester for the first time on June 24-25 at SportCity, next to the Etihad Stadium. Top-quality coaches from Sale Sharks, England Netball, Manchester Giants, Salford Red Devils and Lancashire County Cricket Club was be there to give you and your clan some top tips and motivation.
Every family and their kids could take part in as many free coaching sessions as they fancy in a multitude of sports, classes, runs and competitions. It’s not all sweaty stuff either – there were lots of retail and chill out areas, places to eat and some great live music in the early evening. Once the kids was tired out, the whole family could relax together and really enjoyed the festival atmosphere. There a few famous faces were supporting the event too, from ex-Manchester City Manager, Kevin Keegan, to England Netball star, Tasmin Greenway.
Good practice guide:
During the two-day program, the family can enjoy the sport's pleasures. During different modes of movement, all members of the family can experience how to solve the tasks together, cooperate with team and meet new people. It is important that you are starting from your very young age to become aware of the importance of healthy nutrition and movement in young people.
